Gothic Romance
She gives me fiction.
It is mostly short stories;
there are novels, however.
Never have I met a woman
who could weave a tale
with such slow suspense.
In everything she writes
I turn up
as a minor character.
It is as close
as I’d ever come
to becoming
an important literary
figure.
